Item Description:

Mingqi offerings were typically placed in tombs to provide the deceased with attendants and comforts in the afterlife. They often depicted servants, officials, animals, or guardians, reflecting both the worldly status of the tomb’s occupant and the spiritual importance of ensuring a prosperous existence beyond death. This piece was broken before being acquired by History Hoard and required heavy restoration work. However, the surface and original appearance of this artifact has not been altered. Measures about 4.5 inches long.
