Origin: These copper blanca coins bear the titles of King Ferdinand II and Queen Isabella I of Spain, best known for sponsoring the voyages of Christopher Columbus, initiating the Spanish Inquisition, and being the monarchs who's marriage unified Spain. They date between 1497 and 1566 CE.

Known collectively as the Catholic Monarchs, Isabella I of Castile and Ferdinand II of Aragon were actually second cousins from the House of Trastámara—their marriage required special approval from Pope Sixtus IV for this reason.

Though some of these coins were minted posthumously under Charles V, all still bear the inscription FERNANDVS ET ELISABET (translated as "Fernando and Isabel").

Each includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
