Sigismund I the Old was King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania from 1506 until his death in 1548. He was a member of the Jagiellonian dynasty and the son of Casimir IV. He was not expected to assume the throne but became king after his brothers John I Albert and Alexander I Jagiellon passed away.

Sigismund was a capable monarch and a patron of arts. He established Polish rule over Ducal Prussia, annexed the Duchy of Mazovia and strengthened the country's eastern borders by defeating Moldavia and Muscovy. His 42-year reign was marked by contributions to Polish architecture, cuisine, language and customs. He was married twice and had only one son, Sigismund Augustus, who became the last Jagiellon king.

Each includes a Certificate of Authenticity and glass top display box as shown in the listing photos.
